Anatomical Plastinated specimens are treated with the traditional formaldehyde based anatomical embalming or deep (-80) freezing of tissues. This provides a better way to intellectualize human anatomy and represents the most realistic representation allowing for variation from individual to individual. Plastinated specimens can be repeatedly handled by medical professionals or students without deterioration and specimens can be easily stored. They provide excellent quality and durability and have a reduction in toxics. Our cadaveric tissue is provided through a nonprofit, non-transplant anatomical tissue bank accredited by The American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). In order to honor the donor, plastinated specimens are only accessible to medical or educational professionals.
